| Students began their unexpected journey today! They started by visiting Bag End. A a very small hobbit hole for over 30 people.

| Gandalf visited and we had a feast before beginning our creative journey-typical Hobbit food: Cheese, cold chicken, seed cakes, fruit tarts, and pickles! 
Students worked on maps, drawings, and scrolls inspired from characters and places in the Hobbit and their imaginations. View the student art gallery for more great images!

Gandalf told students his grey robe and hat got washed with his darks. Food was enjoyed, shoes taken off (by those who wished) and furry hobbit hair painted on. We began our adventure.
