Party Descriptions and additional costs

All art parties are a base rate of $150 which covers the cost up to 8 participants. For groups over 8 prices are negotiable.
*Some projects have additional costs per person to cover supplies.

Painting Party

Choose from acrylic or watercolor. Both are water based and non-toxic. Students will be able to paint 2 works of art. A variety of techniques and processes will be demonstrated. Participants will learn about and choose from painting in a realistic or abstract style...or both!
An acrylic painting party with canvas is $5 extra per person.

Mixed Media Painting Party

Create paintings on canvas using acrylic and a variety of collaged materials such as decorative papers, book pages, collected odds and ends, fabric, and much more. Materials will be provided but participants are free to also bring their own embellishments to add as well. Basic techniques and processes will be taught and demonstrated. A Mixed Media Party costs $7 extra per person.

Cartooning Party

Cartoons can be anything-people, animals, objects, food, the possibilities are endless. During this party learn some basic ways to draw expressions, create characters, and draw simple bodies. Add color to your drawings with colored pencils and markers. Create drawings and/or make a simple comic strip or comic book as well!

Oil Pastel and Paint Spray Party

This fun project involves learning techniques with oil pastels to create drawing on paper then spraying over them with spray bottles full of colorful liquid watercolor. Participants can create two drawings. The paint is water based and non-toxic.

Clay Party

Choose from modeling clay or sculpey clay. Modeling clay is a colorful oil based clay. Image pictured under party themes was made by a student with modeling clay. This clay never dries but retains its shapes. Sculpey clay is a colorful polymer clay that bakes hard in the oven in 15 min. This clay can be painted if desired. It can also be used to make silverware handles, pens, earrings, and beads. Basic building techniques are offered and students can make a variety of small sculptures. A Clay Party is an additional $8 per participant.

My Stuffie and Me Party

Invite your favorite stuffies (stuffed animals) to the party! Participants will create trading cards inspired from their stuffies and create fun accessories for them out of oven bake clay and other fun materials.
A Stuffie Party is an additional $10 per participant.

Junk Art Party

This is one of the most popular parties. Blocks and turnings of wood, beads, recycled materials, and odds and ends are set out. Participants then search through the boxes and bins looking for pieces that inspire them to build creatures, structures, people, buildings, or whatever their imagination dreams up. Building ideas and methods demonstrated. Students can make up to two sculptures. A Junk Art Party is an additional $6 per participant.

Creative Boxes Party

Participants transform wooden boxes with acrylic paint, wood turnings, beads, jewels, and odds and ends. Many students choose to glue on pieces for legs, handles, or sometimes even transform their box into an animal or monster. I provide a variety of nice lidded wooden boxes for party guest to choose from. They spend the entire time transforming the one box they choose. A Creative Boxes Party is an additional $8 per participant.

Harry Potter Party

Fans of the Harry Potter books and movies will love this party! Choose from Ollivander's Wand Making, Care of Magical Creatures (sculpture), or Spell Book Making. Every Harry Potter party comes with a sorting ceremony, dueling matches, and Harry Potter trivia.
A Harry Potter Party is an additional $10 per participant.

Customize A Party

I have so many party ideas and examples of parties and classes I have offered it would be overwhelming to list them all here for you. If there is a specific theme you would like me to develop a project for I can do that. For example I've recently done a 'Frozen' art party in which we made clay Olafs and learned how to draw characters. Maybe your party is pirate themed and you would like to make messages or maps in a bottle? Other basic art party ideas could include: cartooning, shrinky dinks, mask making, bookmaking....
