All projects encourage creativity and self-expression. Traditional art techniques as well as more adventurous art methods are offered to give students an open-minded approach to art. Projects can be geared to fit different age and ability levels. Art history and art vocabulary are introduced throughout the lessons.

• Bookmaking ~ creating scrolls, simple bound soft and hard cover books, accordion books, and miniature books
• Papermaking ~ making paper from plant fibers and recycled materials
• Sculpture ~ polymer clays, assemblage with wood,odds and ends,and found objects, plaster and wire
• Printmaking ~ blockprinting with printfoam,everyday object prints,nature prints, and screen-printing
• Puppetmaking ~ creating finger, hand, and rod puppets
• Maskmaking ~ creating masks from paper mache, cardboard, and paper
• Collage ~ creating collages with a variety of textured and patterned papers
