I am very excited to be part of the Bismarck Downtown Artists Co-op! It will be a gallery/working studio for local artists.
It is locted at 222 North Fourth Street in the historic old tribune building downtown. The 5 other artists and I who started it are in the process of getting the space ready for our first showing on that opens on Dec. 16ht called 'A Foot in the Door'. Any local artist is able to enter. The twist that goes along with the title of the show is: all artwork must be a foot by foot or smaller. For more information email www.bismarckdac@gmail.com

This is quite different from my normal subject matter but I am glad to have had the chance to expand a bit. The 'client' was a fifth grade girl who is a basketball player. She wanted it to be graffiti inspired. Check out the art section of my site to see additional images of the mural.

I haven't yet mentioned the film 'House of the Yaga'-the newest collaboration similar to 'Cornerboys' that I was part of this fall with writer Jamie Ridenhour, musician Kevin A. Smith, and photoshop genius Kelly McCormack. I created the art for it-check it out at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWxXhWN5Q-Y
Currently inkjet prints are for sale at ValleyCon in Fargo this weekend where 'House of the Yaga' is showing.
I really like how the inkjets copies look and hope at some point to have the capability to sell orginal artwork and 'prints' (technically the inkjet images are not prints-they are more like a poster but oh well) through my website.

This is 35?!

This summer I began a project called 'This is 35?!' which explores this year of my life and our cultures perceptions as well as my own perceptions of this "stage" of life. At this point I am not sure what forms the words and imagery I have been putting together will take but I hope that the finished creation will possibly give others a chance to be more curious about themselves and the thoughts and choices they make in connection to age. I worked with photographer Ryanne Pappa and she captured a some interesting images I will be using. She is a very easy going photographer (and talented) to work with. Check out her website: www.electricxposure.com

Now that the snow is here I will put my random chalk art messages on hold. It was an exciting endeavor to start up.
I thought I would have more time to continue.
